Laloran Justisa ( English Waves of Justice , German waves of justice ) is an East Timorese television series.
background
The series had 20 episodes and was broadcast on Radio-Televisão Timor Leste (RTTL) from August 29, 2017 . The series was previously presented at the Dili Cineplex on August 18th. The European Union financed the production of the series, which was broadcast in the official language Tetum . The script was developed and written in collaboration with the non-governmental organization Asia Justice and Rights (AJAR) and the Provedoria dos Direitos Humanos e Justiça (PDHJ), the East Timorese ombudsman for human rights and law. Production was done by Dili Film Works.
content
Different topics were taken up, such as crime, family, football, music and love stories. These were combined with the presentation of important human rights and issues relating to democracy. Laloran Justisa was supposed to help the East Timorese viewer to get to know his rights and duties in the democratic process in the country. This included issues such as the rights of a suspect after arrest, corruption and nepotism, the right to a clean environment, freedom of speech, domestic violence, sexual abuse or civil rights in elections. The central figure is Rosa da Costa, a young lawyer who defends the human rights of her clients.
