The Konrad Adenauer Memorial on Adenauerplatz in Berlin was unveiled on April 19, 2005. It comes from the artist Helga Tiemann .

The 1.85 m high bronze statue shows Konrad Adenauer with a waving coat and hat in his hand.

A photo dated September 21, 1949, of how Federal Chancellor Adenauer left the headquarters of the Allied High Commission in the Hotel Petersberg in Königswinter , served as a model for the statue . During the meeting, Adenauer had deliberately disregarded the instruction not to step on the carpet on which the representatives of the occupying powers were standing.
