Konstantin Alexeyevich Klimontow ( Russian Константин Алексеевич Климонтов ; born Konstantin Plaksin Russian Константин Плаксин * 15. October 1990 in Chelyabinsk , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player , who since September 2018. Barys Astana in the Continental Hockey League is under contract and in parallel for whose junior team Belje Medvedi Chelyabinsk plays in the Molodjoschnaja Chokkeinaja League .
Career
Konstantin Klimontov began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of Voskhod Chelyabinsk. From there he moved to HK tractor Chelyabinsk , for whose second team he was initially active in the third-class Pervaya League in the 2007/08 season . In the 2008-09 season , the defender made his debut for the professional HK tractor team in the newly formed Continental Hockey League . He prepared a goal in five games.
In the 2009/10 season Klimontow was able to prevail in the KHL team of HK tractor and scored two goals in a total of 39 games and gave four assists. In March 2010 he was voted Rookie of the Month for the KHL. In addition, he came parallel to 23 appearances for the youth team Belje Medwedi Chelyabinsk in the multinational youth league Molodjoschnaja Chokkeinaja Liga , in which he played exclusively in the 2010/11 season.
In the summer of 2012 he took his mother's surname, until then he had his father's surname, Plaksin. After the 2017/18 season, he left his home club and was signed by Barys Astana in September 2018.
