Sebastos Konstantinos Kalamanos was a son of Prince Boris of Hungary (died 1151 or 1155) and a daughter of Emperor John II of Byzantium. From 1167 he was governor of Isauria . He was supposed to wage war against the Rupan rulers of Lesser Armenia and also to end the affair between Andronikos Komnenus and Philippa of Antioch , for whose hand he asked. But she refused to marry someone from a bad family, " ... whose name was only known since yesterday, or perhaps the day before yesterday. “He was captured by the Armenians and the emperor refused to pay the ransom.
