Contractor

The term contractor ( Latin contra here , 'contract) referred to in the contract language , first one of the two contract - (contract) partners.

The term is used in particular for the partner or debtor providing the service, i.e. the person who undertakes to provide a service or to set up a trade. In this sense, the term subcontractor is also established, which refers to a downstream supplier or service provider of the supplier. The term contracting is also widespread in the broader context . In the narrower sense, the word contractor is used for a supplier who agrees to pay a fixed price for the entire trade (also referred to as a "lump sum-turn key"). Examples are complete buildings or production plants.
