The corporate archive of Georg Fischer AG is the archive of the international industrial company Georg Fischer (GF) based in Schaffhausen . It has been classified as an A property in the Swiss cultural property inventory since 2006. In addition to paper documents, the archive includes 130,000 photos, over 5000 of which can be accessed digitally.
Profile and stock
The corporate archive of Georg Fischer AG was set up in 1943. The company itself has existed since 1802. The archive is based on an inventory collected in the 1920s. It houses the tradition of the company since it was founded, part of the estate of the founding family, as well as holdings from various subsidiaries and acquisitions. Since 2006 it has been classified as an A object in the Swiss inventory of cultural property protection, i.e. an object of national importance. The archive covers 1244 running meters.

photography
The field of photography is of particular importance. The group meticulously documented both activities and products and has a treasure trove of 130,000 photographs. In 1960 the company commissioned the Swiss industrial photographer Jakob Tuggener (1904–1988) to write a report. However, only a few of his photos found their way into contemporary publications. Max Graf (1923–1997) worked as a company photographer from 1956–1969 and documented the entire working world of Georg Fischer AG from production in Schaffhausen to social life outside the company to Christmas parties and anniversaries.
