Koppōjutsu

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Koppōjutsu ( Japanese 骨 法術 ) Koppô means: Science of strengthening bones , which emerged from the Chinese Kempo in the 17th century . Certain punching techniques carried out by hand or feet should lead to a hardening of the corresponding parts of the body. The purpose of this technique is to achieve a better penetration effect on armored opponents. This means that the hands or even the feet should be strong enough to penetrate armor. But since you had to spend a lot of years of training, this technique has not experienced much expansion. Today you can still find this hardening technique in Muay Thai , Ninjutsu and Taijutsu , some Kung Fu styles.
