Koronis Rift is a game released by Lucasfilm Games in December 1985 . It was designed by Noah Falstein.
content
The aim of the game is to use a rover to explore the fractal surface of the planet "Koronis" and collect various technically highly developed modules, analyze them and act on them. The modules had different functions (protective shield, radar, laser, ...), the best modules should be kept in order to equip your own rover, the less good modules could be sold. A total of 20 rifts have to be mastered, in the last one a distribution base has to be destroyed in order to be able to take possession of the planet.
publication
It was delivered on a flip disk, which contained the Atari version on one side and the Commodore 64 version on the other . The Eidolon appeared together with Koronis Rift , both games were based on the graphics engine already used in Rescue on Fractalus , which has been significantly further developed. The version for the Atari 800XL offered better graphics than that for the Commodore 64, this was due to the chips ANTIC and GTIA .
