History of the company

The company was founded in 1953 by John C. Koss as a television rental company. Five years later, together with his partner Martin Lange, he developed the world's first stereo headphones, the SP / 3 . The K 2 + 2 model was introduced in 1971. These are the first headphones with quadrophony . The Porta Pro model , which was first presented in 1984 and has been built almost unchanged since then, developed into a cult object .
