Crumbs

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Krümpel company was a manufacturer of tractors from the Münsterland Wettringen .

In the 1930s, farms strove for motorization. Agricultural tractors were developed at Krümpel. The first tug in block construction originated in 1938 with a Deutz -Motor F2M 414, 2200 cc, 22 horsepower at a speed of 1,500 min -1 with a 4-speed transmission in a solid, heavy and stable design. The machines reached a top speed of 15 km / h. The Krümpel tractor was equipped with tires of sizes 5.50-16 (front) and 9.00-24 (rear). A mechanical side mower was available on request. The Krümpel tractor had a drawbar with a platform, no hydraulics were provided. Until the war years, 20 tugs could be manufactured and sold with great procurement difficulties.

After the Second World War , tractors were produced again from 1947. In the years 1953/54 only a few pieces of this tractor were built, only to stop production. The actual number of Krümpel tractors produced has not been documented. Former employees of Krümpel KG put the number of units built at around 120 tractors.

Some examples are still preserved and ready to drive.
