Noisy Bach

Krach bei Bach is an award-winning musical that was written by Rainer Bohm ( music ) and Gabriele Timm ( libretto ) for the Bach year 2000 and is intended to appeal to young people and children in particular. Musically, motifs from Johann Sebastian Bach's works are combined with elements from pop music . In terms of content, the everyday life of the Bach family is presented.

The piece commissioned by the Leipzig Opera was premiered in 2000 in the Leipzig Gewandhaus . The musical experienced numerous re-performances nationwide in the following years.
