history

In 1927, the business journalist Walter Schulz founded the magazine “Die Reparatur-Werkstatt” in Berlin, a specialist body for repair workshops and petrol stations. The title was soon renamed “Motor Vehicle Craft”. The trade magazine Krafthand was abbreviated from this. Bad Wörishofen has been the headquarters of the publishing house since 1948. The first post-war Krafthand appeared in 1949. In the period that followed, the publisher's range of forms and specialist books was continuously expanded. In addition to Krafthand, other specialist journals have been founded, including the training sheet for motor vehicle couriers, several customer magazines, the construction machinery specialist magazine “ bd baumaschinendienst ”, the magazine “AutomobilWirtschaft” and, most recently, the specialist magazine for commercial vehicles “ Krafthand-Truck ”. In October 2013 the company was renamed 'Krafthand Medien GmbH'.
