Power rake

A power rake is an accessory for motorized lawn mowers . Instead of the mower blade, a rake with tines made of spring wire is installed to aerate the lawn and collect dead plant material.

The use of these devices is controversial among hobby gardeners, as weeds are hardly removed and the lawn is damaged if they are set too deep . The power rake is not used in professional gardening and landscaping .
