KZSM ZR offers members training courses and conference participation. Suitable campaigns (e.g. to support school milk) are organized and promoted. The association is also the organizer of an annual Mopro fair in the Warsaw Palace of Culture - the Mleko-Expo .

history

On January 20, 1990, the Law on Changes to Polish Associations came into force, according to which the previously existing Central Association of Dairy Cooperatives ( Centralny Związek Spółdzielni Mleczarskich ) was dissolved. After a short time, representatives of the cooperatives decided to set up a new organization to coordinate community activities.

At a meeting with delegates from 172 cooperatives on May 26, 1991 the establishment of the KPSM - Krajowe Porozumienie Spółdzielni Mleczarskich (National Understanding of Dairy Cooperatives ) was decided. The Congress approved the statutes of the new association and elected a council of 84 members. Andrzej Furmanek ( Sanniki Dairy Cooperative ) was appointed President of the Council . The association was registered in the Commercial Register (KRS) of the City of Warsaw on November 4, 1991. On 5th / 6th In June 1992 the first general assembly took place, at which Czesław Cieślak (OSM Koło ) was elected president.

On September 4, 1998, a general assembly decided to change the association's name to the current version Krajowy Związek Spółdzielni Mleczarskich Związek Rewizyjny . At the General Assembly in November 2000, the number of council members was reduced to 50. Kazimierz Konieczny was confirmed as chairman.

The onset of consolidation in the Polish dairy industry since the early 2000s led to a decline in the number of member companies. While KZSM ZR still had 145 members in 2005, this number was reduced to 131 (2006), 119 (2007) and 115 in 2008. Today there are still 108 member companies. The association employs 23 people including the management. The managing director of the association has been Waldemar Broś since January 2009.
