The Krakusen were cavalry regiments of the Austro-Hungarian army that were formed from volunteers in the individual voivodships during the Polish November uprising in 1830 .

The Krakuses were later added to the line . Their team strength amounted to about 8,000 men. Cracow also existed during the Russian campaign in 1812 , but these were armed with lances like the Cossacks . They were mostly made up of native Krakow residents , hence the name.
