Hospital ceiling

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hospital ceiling is the name for an item of equipment used by the fire brigade . The term is therefore not to be understood in this context as "blanket used in the hospital".

It is a mostly brown or gray wool blanket with a length of 1900 mm and a width of 1400 mm. According to DIN 14530-5, a hospital blanket in a reusable protective cover belongs to the loading of almost every fire service vehicle in this size.

It is used to warm hypothermic people, generally as a base for the stretcher or for your own emergency services, for example against freezing when exhausted or when protective clothing is wet. The fire brigade also uses them as a temporary privacy screen to protect injured or dead people from prying eyes from onlookers .
