Talsen district
The Talsen District ( Russian Тальсенский уезд , Latvian Talsu apriņķis ) was an administrative unit in Courland from 1819 to 1949 . The main town was Talsen .

The Talsen district bordered the Gulf of Riga in the northeast , Tuckum district in the southeast , Goldingen district in the south-west , Windau district in the north-west .
