Kremlin (city center)
The Kremlin is "a fortified core of Russian cities in the Middle Ages, mostly located on a hill, the seat of the spiritual and secular government". A citadel and a surrounding wall protect the area on which the palace buildings and churches stand.
Most important is the Moscow Kremlin , seat of the President of the Russian Federation.
The Russian word Kremlin ' (Кремль), old Russian Kremlinu "citadel, fortress" may have Tatar roots
