Hasselt Cross

The cross of Hasselt was the king of the Netherlands , I. Wilhelm , donated. The foundation date was September 12, 1831. The occasion was the “Hasselt” affair of August 1831. The participants in the war events of the “Belgian uprising” were honored.

Order decoration and ribbon

The decoration was a cross with a central shield. Here the year numbers "1830 1831" were surrounded by an oak and laurel wreath. On the broad arms of the cross it read “Trouw ann Konig an Voterland”.

The ribbon had three blue stripes and two orange stripes between them.
