Cross-loving sisters

The Cross -loving Sisters (also: Sisters Congregation of Love for the Holy Cross Gò-Váp , French. Amantes de la Croix ; viet. Dòng Mến Thánh Giá ; Latin. Amatores Crucis lesu Christi ) are a Roman Catholic congregation for religious sisters .

The congregation was founded by the French priest Pierre Lambert de la Motte in Vietnam in 1670 and from there spread worldwide. In 1954 the sisters were expelled from North Vietnam and settled in Go Vâp in the vicinity of Saigon (today Ho Chi Minh City ). In addition to prayer, her areas of responsibility include charitable services in the congregation, schools and hospitals as well as missionary work in the remote mountain regions of Vietnam. Around 100 sisters live in Vietnam, around 300 worldwide. In Germany, the Order has branches in Bonn (St. Petrus Hospital) and Munich .
