War memorial in Frankenbach
The eagle figure crowns the largest of the steles

The war memorial in the Heilbronn district of Frankenbach was erected in 1938 north of the Albanskirche for the 85 Frankenbach soldiers who died in the First World War.

The war memorial consists of a stage. There are six steles on it, which are connected to one another by a low wall. The five low steles stand for the five war years 1914 to 1918 and bear the year and the names of those who fell in the respective year. The largest stele on the left is crowned by an eagle that embraces a globe and bears the words Durch Kampf zum Sieg and a half-relief showing a sword with a serrated pommel and a feathered snake. The architecture embodies the pre-war policy of the Nazi regime. According to an information board, the war memorial is a "warning testimony to the darkest epoch in modern German history".

An older memorial plaque for the dead warriors of the First World War 1914-18 is embedded in the south facade of the Albanskirche. A plaque was attached to the north facade of the war memorial, which reproduces a resolution of the parish council of the Evangelical parish of Frankenbach of December 10, 1990, according to which the parish is "committed to peace in the world and friendship among people through the commission of Jesus Christ" and "therefore rejects the manufacture, storage and use of weapons of mass destruction around the world".
