Meuchen war memorial

The Meuchen war memorial is a listed war memorial in the village of Meuchen in the city of Lützen in Saxony-Anhalt . In the local register of monuments , the memorial stone is recorded as a monument under registration number 094 09424 .

The war memorial in Meuchen is a memorial for those who fell in the First World War . The memorial is a stele made of artificial stone , which is crowned by a steel helmet . Under the steel helmet is the inscription OUR FALLEN HEROES 1914 1918 . An iron cross in half relief is on three of four sides of the stele. Originally, the stele was enclosed and framed by trees. After 1993 the trees were felled and the enclosure demolished. The names of the fallen were once on the stele, but these are no longer recognizable today due to the weathering.

The war memorial is near the intersection of Clara-Zetkin-Straße - An der Wehrkirche.
