All of these monuments do not have the goal of glorifying wars or acts of war, but rather want the viewer to pause and encourage them to always work actively for peaceful coexistence:

In the forecourt of the chapel there is a memorial for the fallen in memory of the German War of 1866. The inscription on the memorial reads: “Monument to Silver Göggel Musketeer of the 4th Comp: 7th Reinisch: Infanteri Regiment No: 69. Died at Pardubltz in Bohemia d: 5t: August 1866 age 24 year 3 month. Dedicated by his brothers in arms and friends ”.

Inside the monument there is a certificate with the following content:

"Because people's lives are short and their existence is of short duration, and the things that have happened are also forgetful, we, the soldiers and war participants of the city of Veringen, who were honored here, have decided on Silver Göggel, who died in the campaign of the royal Prussian army in Bohemia, to erect a memorial to the same on the church of Veringen near the pilgrimage church of Maria Dillstetten.

The monument to the Silver Göggel was erected on August 30, 1867.

He was drafted into the flag on May 12th, 1868, served in the 4th Company of the 7th Rhenish Infantry Regiment No. 69 and came to Wilfesdorf near Vienna on July 18th and 19th, 1866, on July 27th When he came to the hospital in Au, he died on August 5th, at the age of 24, three months from Asian cholera.

These writings were conscientiously written by Eugen Dobler master turner, who also took part in the campaign of 1866, the son of the still living teacher Dobler von Veringenstadt. The stone was made by Fridolin Gauggel von Veringenstadt and costs thirty guilders. The stone was set on August 30, 1867.
