Crystal grinding technology is an apprenticeship in Austria with a training period of three years.

Crystal cutting technicians work in workshops for glass processing as well as in the glass processing industry and are familiar with the processing of crystal glass, precious stones and many other plastics and materials. As a rule, household items and decorative items are made from the materials (e.g. mirrors, glasses, bowls, figurines). Manual skills paired with knowledge of modern production and manufacturing processes and the use of semi and fully automatic grinding systems are prerequisites for working as a crystal grinding technician.

education

The apprenticeship training lasts three years. It takes place predominantly in the training company and accompanying this in the vocational school , which conveys the theoretical background for practicing the profession. In addition, there is also the possibility of taking a master craftsman and proficiency test.
