Kristian Knuth

Kristian (also Christian) Frederik Knuth-Christiansdal (born March 28, 1886 on Østergård ; † March 18, 1969 ) was a Danish chamberlain , master hunter and resistance fighter.

Life

Kristian Knuth came from the Mecklenburg-Danish nobility family Knuth ; his father was the chamberlain and court hunter Christopher Knuth , his mother was his Ille, nee Baroness Lerche.

Knuth, who was captain of the reserve until 1942, took over administrative tasks in the Danish resistance against the German occupation. He was a board member of the Royal Danish Country House Keeping Society from 1930 to 1955, a member of the Dansk Kennel Club from 1934 and its chairman from 1940 to 1956.

Marriage and offspring

On May 11, 1910, Knuth married Countess Antoinette Sophie Sponneck (1887–1942). The marriage had three children, all of whom had the title of count or countess from birth:

  • Ulrik Gustav Adam (born January 27, 1911 on Østergård; † January 13, 2004)
  • Torben Christopher (born August 7, 1912 on Østergård; † April 29, 1966)
  • Dagmar Sophie Elé
