Kristof Van Boven
Kristof Van Boven (* 1981 in Lier , Belgium ) is a Belgian theater actor who is engaged in Germany.
Life
After studying acting at the University of the Arts in Arnhem , he worked as a freelance actor in the Dutch off-theater scene, with Linda Olthof on his own piece developments. a. at Toneelgroep Amsterdam, Onafhankelijk toneel Rotterdam and at Noord Nederlands Toneel.
In 2004 he got an engagement in Belgium at the Dutch Theater in Ghent . He worked there with Johan Simons and was invited to the 2009 Wiener Festwochen with him . Further productions in Ghent were directed by u. a. Peter Verhelst , Ivo van Hove and Meg Stuart .
In the 2010/11 season, Van Boven became a member of the Münchner Kammerspiele ensemble . He immediately received the "Prize of the Patrons of the Münchner Kammerspiele".
Since the 2015/16 season he has been a member of the ensemble at the Thalia Theater Hamburg .
Awards
- "Young Actor of the Year 2011" of the trade magazine Theater heute , for his involvement in the Winterreise by Elfriede Jelinek , directed by Johan Simons
- Berlin Art Prize 2012 of the Academy of Arts in the performing arts category.
