A Kronbohrer (hollow circular cutter) is a kind of milling cutter with radially projecting blades , which, especially in long hole drilling and milling machine is applied. The crown drill is the classic device for working out ring holes .

The cutting edges are arranged on the end face and work flat surfaces as they rotate.
