Kubir Bridge

The Kubir Bridge ( Arabic كوبرى كوبر Kubri Kūbir , English Kober Bridge , also known as Armed Forces Bridge called) is a reinforced concrete - bridge to traffic in Sudan , linking Khartoum on the Blue Nile with al-Khartoum Bahri .

The name of the bridge is derived from the Kober district in al-Chartum Bahri. The name Armed Forces Bridge is derived from the military area directly west of the bridge in Khartoum.

It was built on behalf of the Sudanese government to relieve the An-Nil-al-Azraq Bridge , has a total length of 800 meters and offers space for two by two lanes for car traffic.
