The Cultural Forum Turkey Germany eV is a non-profit membership organization of Cologne . It was founded in the 1980s by cultural workers and media experts. The association organizes national events and sees itself as a promoter of intercultural dialogue . These include exhibitions, literature projects, concerts, film and video projects, symposia and conferences, etc. a. initiated the excellent intercultural internet portal for young people Cafeterra and set up a working group for a German-Turkish cultural channel. There are also close ties to the Greece-Turkey friendship initiative . The honorary chairmen of the Kulturforum are the writers Günter Grass and Yaşar Kemal ; Aziz Nesin was also honorary chairman until 1995 . The executive board (2014) includes: Osman Okkan (board spokesman ), Recep Keskin and Dieter Ronte .
