The magazine KulturPoetik. Journal of cultural-historical literary studies is a project of the Institute for German Studies at Saarland University . It regards literary studies as cultural studies , thus as part of the overall culture. The journal, founded in 2000, has an interphilological and interdisciplinary orientation and is internationally oriented. It examines the interactions between literature and the media, between literature and the knowledge system, as well as the contribution made by literature to cultural and intercultural communication. KulturPoetik is published twice a year by Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht in Göttingen. In addition to an essay and review section, each issue also contains the forum section , which is available for statements on current questions, comments on articles, event information and new publications.
