With currently 22 full-time employees, all artists, cultural initiatives and organizations are offered every form of help and support in the implementation of cultural projects under the catchwords “service, advice, assistance”. In addition to personal advice, the website in particular is constantly being expanded and expanded as an important tool. The cultural network is the only organization in Austria that has set itself the goal of being available to the artists and cultural initiatives involved in the implementation of their projects as a supporting infrastructure "without preconditions".

Concept of culture and access

Regional culture is not understood to mean traditional art and cultural events directed towards the past, but rather contemporary activities. Access to the cultural network is possible without any restrictions. The vast majority of the offers are available free of charge. Only a few special services are only offered to members. The number of members was more than 1,800 at the end of September 2018.

Projects

In addition to the operation of four regional offices that take care of day-to-day business, some large, non-commercial projects are being implemented, such as the Lower Austria quarter festival, the largest festival for art and culture from the regions in Austria. Another important project is the Lower Austrian Days of Open Studios , a show of fine arts in Lower Austria , which takes place every October . The two projects have a potential of 90,000 visitors and around 2,000 participating artists. Furthermore, the projects are characterized by the fact that they take place in several locations (up to 80 at the quarter festival, several hundred at the open studios). In addition, the cultural network operates an internet event calendar for Austria together with partners.
