character

Kundalini meditation, like Dynamic Meditation , No Dimensions Meditation, Mandala Meditation, Whirling Meditation and Nataraj Meditation, is one of the active meditation techniques in which physical activity plays a central role. The strong focus on movement is intended to relieve physical and emotional tension. The goal is to get from action - that is, physical movement - to "in-action", from outside orientation to inside view - and from there to inner peace and quiet.

According to Osho, the shaking movements, an essential characteristic of Kundalini meditation , activate the power of Kundalini , also called serpentine power .

procedure

Kundalini meditation consists of four phases of 15 minutes each, for a total of 1 hour. Chaitanya Hari ( Georg Deuter ) composed the music for it. It is often done in the late afternoon to end the day. The individual phases are: shaking , dancing , meditation and stillness .

effect

Kundalini meditation is said to first lead to increased blood flow and heart rate, then to lower blood pressure, lower heart rate, muscle relaxation, increased alpha and theta brain waves and increased alertness.
