history
Kungälvs IK was founded in 1952. The team first appeared nationwide when they took part in the third-class Division 1 in the 1999/2000 season . In the following season , however, the team rose again to the fourth-class Division 2 . In the 2005/06 season the Kungälvs IK succeeded in returning to Division 1, in which he was initially able to establish himself. After a temporary relegation, the team is now back in Division 2.
