The bimonthly trade journal Kunst: Art (spelling art: art ) is aimed at those interested in art in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. According to his own statement, Kunst: Art has the highest circulation of all art magazines in German-speaking countries; the widespread circulation is checked by the IVW .
Content and focus
The content is particularly about current exhibitions in German-speaking countries. In addition, interesting art locations and art libraries are presented. Another section deals with the " art of collecting ". The aim of the publication is to provide "clear, understandable and modern information". In addition to the factual structure, Kunst: Art also has regional focuses - there are four regional sections for Germany and two more in Austria and Switzerland.
Distribution and publishing
Over half of the circulation is displayed in art museums and art halls, a quarter in art associations and galleries and between 5 and 7% in art academies, shops for art supplies and artists' houses. The rest of the circulation is distributed among foundations, administrations and similar institutions. The publication is also available by subscription.
The publishing specialist atelier was founded in Cologne in 1982. The Atelier magazine and a book series with guides for everyday professional life are also part of the range of publishing houses .
