The art newspaper (own spelling: KUNSTZEITUNG ) has been a monthly art magazine since 1996 . It is distributed by the Lindinger + Schmid publishing house in Berlin with a print run of 200,000 copies.

The paper reports critically on exhibitions and events and introduces artists and art mediators. Every month, the 44-page newspaper in Berlin format is distributed free of charge wherever people are interested in art. Around 1900 museums, art halls, art associations, galleries, universities, hotels, bookstores, libraries, companies and institutions, especially in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, help to spread the art newspaper . The publication is financed through advertisements.

Managing director Gabriele Lindinger and editor-in-chief Karlheinz Schmid received the 2006 Art Mediator Award.
