Klaus Richter (legal scholar)
Klaus Richter (born February 8, 1965 in Saarbrücken ) is a German legal scholar , legal historian and author.
education
After graduating from the Ludwigsgymnasium Saarbrücken in 1985, Richter studied law at the University of Saarland and the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn . He passed the first and second state law exams in Saarland in 1992 and 1994, respectively.
Scientific activity
Richter received his doctorate in 1997 at the University of Saarland for Dr. iur. In July 2005, he completed his habilitation at the Law Faculty of the Humboldt University in Berlin . In August 2005, Richter was appointed private lecturer at Humboldt University with the right to teach in the subjects of German legal history and civil law . His research interests in legal history include the history of antitrust law before 1914 . The main research areas in civil law are the harmonization of European contract law ( contract law ), consumer protection law and parallel developments in Japanese civil law .
Richter has been a member of the Society for Comparative Law since 2005 and a member of the Association of Civil Law Teachers since 2007 . In February 2008 Richter's license to teach was extended to include the subject of “European Private Law”.
Substitute professorships at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder) in the winter semester 2006/2007, at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg in the summer semester 2008 and at the University of Rostock from the winter semester 2008/2009 to the winter semester 2009/2010. Since October 2010 he has been legal advisor at the Technical University of Berlin .

Criticism of pre-astronautics
From 1987 to 2001 Judge was a member in the Research Institute for Archeology, Astronautics and SETI consisting of with Erich von Däniken related Ancient Astronaut Society emerged. Unscientific and factual manipulation led to the end of his membership in pre-astronautics . Richter has published several critical contributions to the paleo SETI hypothesis . Since January 2003 he has been a member of the Society for the Scientific Investigation of Parasciences (GWUP).
