Copper phosphides

In chemistry, copper phosphides are a group of compounds made up of the elements copper and phosphorus with the formula Cu 3 P 2 , Cu 2 P or Cu 3 P.

A mixture of these copper phosphides is obtained by fusing monocalcium phosphate Ca (H 2 PO 4 ) 2 · H 2 O with carbon , copper and quartz . The copper phosphides are used as deoxidizers, e.g. B. used in bronze production .
