Kuritz (unit)

Kuritz , also Curitza , was a Wendish measure of grain and the name of the bushel . The measure was mentioned as a tax measure to the bishop on the island of Rügen as early as 1318 and was based on the hook country. In the literature, the bushel is described as the "bushel of greater dimensions".
