Kurosch Rezwan

Kurosch Rezwan (* 1975 ) is a Swiss materials science engineer and professor at the University of Bremen . From 2013 to 2015 he was Vice Rector for Research and Young Scientists.

biography

Rezwan grew up in Switzerland with his parents of Iranian descent.

Rezwan completed his studies in materials science and his doctorate at the ETH Zurich . The engineer then conducted research in the USA and England. In 2006 he was appointed to Bremen as a junior professor . Since 2009, Rezwan has been a university professor in the field of “Ceramic Materials and Components” in the Production Technology department at the University of Bremen . He and his working group have received numerous national and international awards for their research, including from the European Research Council . He was federal chairman of the “German Society of Junior Professors” and an elected member of other committees.

Rectorate

In November 2012 Rezwan was appointed by the Academic Senate (AS) as the new Vice President for Research and Young Scientists on April 1, 2013. He was deputy principal until 2015.
