Kurt-Kurt

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kurt-Kurt - Projects for Public Space is an art project initiated and organized by Simone Zaugg and Pfelder , which uses the rooms of Kurt Tucholsky's birthplace in Lübecker Straße in Berlin-Moabit to address the urban context of the neighborhood.

Since 2006, exhibitions, lectures and other events have been taking place in the house, often in cooperation with other actors from the urban space or external experts. The Kurt-Kurt also opened its rooms regularly as part of the annual Moabit culture days 'Inselglück' .

In the second “Short & Intense” program in November 2011, for example, four international artists presented themselves in the rooms of Kurt-Kurt. With this and similar events, the Kurt-Kurt is an integral and important part of the up-and-coming cultural scene in Moabit. The previous projects on art in public space are now also documented in book form.
