Kurt Haustein

Kurt Haustein (born November 1, 1912 ; † in World War II) was a German gymnast and one of the most successful in Leipzig's gymnastics history.

Life

Haustein, a trained construction technician, did gymnastics for the ATV Leipzig 1845 and represented the Leipzig city team.

successes

Haustein took part in several German gymnastics championships. In 1934 he was 14th in the all-around competition in Dortmund, and in 1941 he reached 7th place in Karlsruhe.

In addition, the Leipziger was part of the Germany team , the national gymnastics team. In the international match against Poland on December 11, 1938 in Dresden, he was third-best gymnast.

In the international match against Hungary on March 30, 1941 in the Stuttgart city hall, he reached an 8th place in the individual ranking.

Haustein fell in World War II.
