The Kvíslavatn is a lake 12 km long in the highlands of Iceland . It is located at 605 m above sea level. Its area is 20 km².

The lake is located in the west of the Sprengisandur highland slope, southeast of Hofsjökull .
The Kvíslavatn part of a chain of four interconnected lakes in the area of Þjórsárver and is its largest. These lakes were created in connection with the damming of the Þjórsá river from 1980 .
