Origin and history
From 1950 onwards, breeders in the San Francisco area began crossing Maltese and Lhasa Apso . The result was pleasing: a small, handsome dog with a temperament. From 1965 a woman Linn developed the breed decisively. In 1969 breeders met and named the breed Kyi Leo (kyi Tibetan for dog, Leo Latin for lion).
description
The Kyi Leo is a small dog at 20–30 cm. The fur is long, but does not reach the ground like the Maltese. It should be straight to slightly wavy, in the colors black and white, gold and white, also monochrome, with some the black fades to slate gray.
