Kymco Super 8
The Super 8 is a motor scooter made by the Taiwanese manufacturer Kymco ( Kwang Yang Motor Corporation ) with an automatic transmission ( Variomatic ). The scooter is available with four-stroke engines of 50 cm³ and 125 cm³ and in Europe also with a 50 cm³ two-stroke engine. The Super 8, especially the 125 cm³ version, is more popular in Southeast Asia than in Europe or North America.
particularities
Originally only a 125 cm³ version was planned. Technically, the 50 cm³ version does not differ from this one, except in the engine. Thus, the Super 8 has a comparatively large disc brake (240 mm; see Peugeot Speedfight 3 215 mm). Frame and cladding remain the same, which means that it is visually impossible to distinguish 50 cm³ from 125 cm³. The 14-inch tires ensure a smooth driving experience and safe cornering even at higher speeds. The small helmet compartment, which only holds a jet helmet, has a disadvantage. The back seat, on the other hand, holds two adults.
