Kyoko date

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kyoko Date is a virtual pop singer launched in 1997 in Japan by the local music industry . Her first single, "Love Communication", was sung by a studio singer. Kyoko Date itself was created as a computer animation - remarkably good for the time - and the images were used in the accompanying music video , on the record cover, in the press, etc. After the song was quite successful in the Japanese charts, the press in German-speaking countries became aware of Kyoko Date and reported "about the first successful singer who actually doesn't exist". Despite the catchy melody of the title, it has been completely ignored by local radio stations; today it is an insider tip on the internet. Subsequent productions were completely unsuccessful even in the production country Japan, which made Kyoko Date a one-hit wonder .
