Noise level range

In building law, the noise level area refers to areas or facades to be built on, areas where increased noise levels (mostly traffic noise ) must be expected. As a rule, the noise level range is determined by building plans or noise maps . Otherwise, the determination is made by determining the relevant external noise level in accordance with DIN 4109. The noise level range results in building law requirements and restrictions. B. the sound insulation (especially of the windows), the placement of ventilation openings or the alignment of bedrooms.

With the amendment of DIN 4109-1 in January 2018, the dimensions of the external components are accurate to the dB. If specified noise areas are included in this calculation, the upper limit of the corresponding noise level range is used for the calculation.
