Léo Herrmann (painter)

Léo Herrmann (born July 2, 1853 in Paris , † 1927 ) was a French anti-clerical painter.

Trained in France, he took part in the Paris genre painting salons since 1875. His pictures mostly showed cardinals in red cassocks in funny scenes. Herrmann soon achieved wide popularity.
