Léon Émile Marie Prosper Jacques Vrignaud

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Léon Émile Marie Prosper Jacques Vrignaud (* 1904; † unknown ) was a French politician and resident of France on Wallis and Futuna . This office he carried out from July 4, 1940 to May 27, 1942, where he voluntarily submitted to the Vichy-loyal Governor General of French Indochina instead of the de Gaulle-loyal governor of New Caledonia . Wallis and Futuna was thus a colony which , like the majority, did not belong to the Free France under de Gaulle .
