Léon Boes was a French football referee.

Career

Boes began in the course of the 1936/37 season with the management of games in the French first division; During the Second World War he remained in the unofficial game operation of the league as a referee. In addition, he was entrusted with the management of the national cup final in 1941 ; seven years later he whistled the final again.

In addition to his ongoing career at national level, he made his debut as an international referee on November 21, 1948, when he was in a game between Luxembourg and the Belgian B national team on the field. A game between Saarland and a Swiss B-Elf in 1950 was his last of four appearances at international matches. He ended his national career with the 1952/53 season.
