Jana Podlipná

Jana Podlipná (born January 19, 1984 in Ostrov nad Ohří , Czechoslovakia) is a Czech actress and director .

Life

After graduating from high school in Karlovy Vary , she studied at the Academy of Drama in Prague . Immediately after the absolution , she began directing and dramaturgy at the Janáček Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts to study in Brno. She then continued her acting and directing studies at the Max Reinhardt Seminar at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna .

In the 2009–2010 season she worked as an assistant director at the Schauspielhaus Graz . She then played in German-language and Czech films and TV series and worked as a director and dramaturge at the Schauspielhaus Graz, the Řeznická Theater in Prague and at the Marta Theater in Brno. She translated the plays Black Animal Sadness by Anja Hilling and Life has surprises in store by Guy Helminger into Czech.
